The event will take place on 12 and 13 March at Hôtel Le Plaza in Brussels.
The event will give details the calls for proposals H2020-CIP 2018, H2020-SEC 2018 and H2020-DS-2018, published on 27 October 2017 under the societal challenge Secure Societies - Protecting freedom and security of Europe and its citizens. These calls offer new research funding opportunities to research institutions, universities, industries, SMEs, civil society organizations, end users and any other security stakeholders.

As in previous years, the Security Mission Information & Innovation Group (SMI2G) is organising a two-day event in Brussels to discuss on the upcoming 2018 Secure Societies calls of Horizon 2020. This brokerage event will provide a unique networking platform to stimulate innovative ideas and facilitate the creation of consortia. All Secure Societies topics will be represented.
This event will be held on Thursday 1st and Friday 2nd February 2018. This year the SMI2G is kindly hosted again by Université Catholique de Louvain (UCL) in Brussels.

Health-NCP-Net 2.0 is organizing a free of charge Partnering Event on December 7th, 2017 in Brussels.
As the 2018-2020 Work Programme for “Health, Demographic Change & Wellbeing” will soon be launched and the next calls will open, the Partnering Event is the perfect opportunity to find a partner and to build your consortium.
The main part of the day is dedicated to bilateral meetings between people who are interested in the same call area.
The event will also provide information about support measures for Health projects and give researchers and entrepreneurs a platform to present their project ideas in 5-minute presentations.
The workshop “Next Generation User Authentication by Voice Biometrics? Ready to Market!”, organised by the European Project OCTAVE (Objective Control for Talker Verification), will take place in Florence on the 27th of June 2017.
Speakers will deliver their talk in English or Italian (simultaneous translation in both languages).
OCTAVE is a project funded by the E.U. Horizon 2020 Programme, in the Secure Societies Area. It has implemented and validated a scalable, trusted voice biometric authentication service. While simultaneously relieving end-users from the inconvenience of dealing with textual passwords, the OCTAVE platform will reduce the economic and practical burdens related to password loss and recovery.
