This section contains the services SEREN5 Network organizes for Cluster 3 National Contact Points, as well as other kinds of opportunities that may be useful for the NCPs.
Indeed, SEREN5 is strongly committed to supporting the work of Cluster 3 National Contact Points through the organization of trainings, meetings, forums, and any other service aimed at improving and professionalizing their skills.
3rd Cluster 3 Network will be held on 25 September 2024, dedicated only to Cluster 3 National Contact Points. Presentation of the SEREN5 work on the “Assessment of Security R&I” will be supported with the open discussion, so as presentation of the SEREN5 approach to increase the visibility of Cluster 3 Projects.

2nd SEREN5 Forum for Cluster 3 NCPs – “Participation of Practitioners in Cluster 3 (benefits and challenges)” on 26 September 2024 will be connected with sharing NCPs experience.

The event is open only to officially nominated Cluster 3 NCPs and APRE will again reimburse up to 10 NCPs, aiming at a 50% of NCPs from widening countries, on a first come first served basis. If you are interested in asking for the reimbursement, according email sent to seren5-at-apre.it.
The Newcomers’ Guide has been prepared under Task 2.2: Newcomers NCPs’ Info set of SEREN5. The Guide is just one of the many tools and services available to Cluster 3 NCPs through SEREN5 to support them in their day-to-day work.
The Guide aims to introduce important aspects of Cluster 3, and other useful resources, to newcomer NCPs. Newly appointed Cluster 3 NCPs can find specific information and tips about this particular role, equipping them with a set of main guiding principles, recommendations, and concrete suggestions for their daily work.

SEREN5 organizes the first SEREN5 Forum for NCPs on the Community for European Research and Innovation for Security (CERIS) on the 17th November 2023 in Brussels and on line. In that occasion DG HOME representatives will present to the Cluster 3 NCPs the Community, investigating the possible paths of collaboration between NCPs and CERIS.
The day will continue with the 2nd Cluster 3 Network Meeting: aimed to gather SEREN5 beneficiaries with CL3 NCPs external to the project in order to discuss future opportunities, difficulties and best practices. in this occasion the EC will participate in the discussion “Exchange between European Commission and NCPs on common challenges for the future of Cluster 3”.
The participation to these events are restricted to only officially nominated CL3 NCPs.

SEREN5 aims to support security stakeholders responding to the challenges laid down within Cluster 3, including those arising from persistent security threats, cybercrime, as well as natural and man-made disasters.
For this reason, the project created a Survey dedicated to understand stakeholders’ needs in the field of Cluster 3. The participation of security stakeholders is of great importance to SEREN5 and will contribute to ensuring an enhancement of the customer journey and experience when using the project’s services.

SEREN5 organizes the first online training for Cluster 3 National Contact Points on the European Defence Fund and its synergies with Cluster 3 Civil Security for Society.
The training will be held on line on the 6th September 2023 02:00 – 04:00 pm CET.
The major objective of the training is to provide the main features of the European Defence Fund, as well as similarities and differences between the Fund and Cluster 3 in terms of structure, rules for participation, topic etc.
